Collegiate College or Liverpool Collegiate School was the former day school for boys, middle class Liverpudians. It was opened on 6 January 1843 and provided education that included instruction in the sciences, commerce and religion. The school was paid. It was closed in 1985 following a fire. Some of the known former students are Cyril Bibby, actors and comedians Leonard Rossiter, Ted Ray, Philip Fox and Sam Kelly. Brian Labone Everton Footballer and Holly Johnson singer with Frankie Goes to Hollywood. Also Pete Best the original Beatles drummer who was later replaced by Ringo Starr.

The school was located in the red sandstone building on Shaw Street. It was designed by Harvey Lonsdale Elmes in neo-Gothic style. It has been nominated as one of the Icons of England and is a Grade II listed building. The building was used as a school up to 1986. Then it fell into disrepair and the interior was gutted. It was later turned into top residential properties by Urban Splash.
