River Mersey is a river in the north western part of England. It flows through three countries: Greater Manchester, Cheshire and Merseyside and two cities: Manchester and Liverpool. The river starts in Stockport at the confluence of The River Tame and Goyt and mouths in Liverpool Bay on the Irish Sea. Its length is 112.65 kilometers and the basin is 4,680 square kilometers wide.
