Radio City Tower, also known as St. Johns Beacon, dominates the Liverpool skyline. It has been occupied by Radio City, Liverpool’s main radio station. Its height is 120 metres and there is a panoramic view over the city and Merseyside. It was constructed in 1965 originally being a rotating restaurant. Its architect was Weightman & Bullen Architects Ltd. The tower is open for public tours on Saturday and Sunday. There are 540 stairs, but luckily there's a lift as well.
